Forget Algo hacks. This is Algo Proof:

the 1 skill no marketer is talking about:

Six months before stepping onto the biggest stage of my life, I was standing on the edge of a balcony, 22 floors up, looking down at the city below.

The woman I loved was gone.

The dream I had built was crumbling in my hands.

I had fought. I had pushed. And still, I had lost.

It was in that dark moment I made a promise to myself:

‘If I’m not going to continue for me, I’m going to continue for everyone else who deserves a second chance in life.’

I termed my comeback ‘David to Goliath’. Documenting it for the world to see.

Fast forward six months, and there I was. Standing under the burning lights of Bulgaria’s largest indoor arena.

My pain, my failure, my redemption – was about to be shared with the world.

But here’s what most people don’t know – the month leading up to that speech was where the magic happened.

For thirty days, I worked one-on-one with a speaking coach, controlling my breath, mastering the timing, harnessing the power of silence to make people hang on my every word.

By the time I walked onto that stage, I was ready to own the room.

I took a deep breath.

And as I spoke, the energy shifted.

People who had been casually standing at the back started moving closer. One by one, they sat down, drawn in by the story unfolding before them.

By the time I finished, the audience had doubled in size.

Not because of slides.
Not because of flashy visuals.
Because of how I spoke.

And that’s why public speaking is a superpower.

Think about Britain in 1940.

The country was on its knees. Cities were burning. The Nazi war machine was closing in.

Surrender seemed inevitable.

And then, in Britain’s darkest hour, Winston Churchill stood behind a microphone, lit a cigar, and spoke.

In that moment, everything changed.

He created an unshakable conviction in millions of people.

The rest is history.

If you think this is just about standing on a stage, you’re missing the point.

It’s about mastering every high-stakes moment in business.

  • Negotiations: The person who speaks with the most confidence wins.

  • Pitches: The person who owns the room gets the deal.

  • Sales Calls: The person who controls the conversation closes the sale.

  • Leadership: The person who speaks with clarity and conviction inspires the team.

In business, trust is built through presence.

Most people spend years trying to convince the world to take them seriously.

A great speech can do it in a single afternoon.

Master speaking, and you master every critical moment that moves your business forward.

And yet, most people will never do it.

They’ll spend years perfecting spreadsheets, tweaking sales funnels, optimizing for algorithm hacks. But when it comes to perfecting their voice, they will tell themselves:

“I’m not ready.” “I’m not a natural speaker.” “What if I mess up?”

And while they hesitate, someone else will step up, take the mic, and claim the opportunities they were too afraid to chase.

Here’s the truth:

Confidence isn’t something you wait for. It’s something you train.

And the only way to master this skill? Practice.

So here’s what I challenge you to do: Every day this week, practice speaking out loud for five minutes.

  • Pick a topic and explain it like you’re on stage.

  • Record yourself and watch it back.

  • Focus on speaking clearly, slowing down, and owning the space.

If you commit to this, you’ll see a shift in just a few days.

And if you’re ready to take it further, I highly recommend working with the speaking coach who transformed the way I speak, Nausheen I. Chen.

If you want a personal introduction, just reply to this email, and I’ll connect you (I don’t get commissions just FYI!).

Remember, business isn’t about who works the hardest. It’s about who gets noticed, trusted, and followed.

And the ones who stand up, speak, and own the room?

They win. Every time.

Yours truly,

-Nigel Thomas
