why I didn't email you for 44 days

I’ve not emailed you for 6+ weeks.

Truth is, I’ve been really struggling.

A close friend (and business partner) decided out of nowhere they no longer wanted to work with me.

Overnight, I had to do the work of 2 people.

Not fun.

Business aside, I lost a close friend.

And no matter how strong you are, that’s a really hard pill to swallow.

I spent a few days feeling sorry for myself, but then quickly realised playing the victim wasn’t gonna help.

I still had clients to serve. Team members to lead. Bills to pay.

So I decided instead, I’ll turn this into a victory.

3 things I immediately changed:

1) I reflected back on the relationship

Realised I had made many mistakes. Moving forward, I will change certain behaviours.

2) I cleaned up my diet

I was eating all kinds of processed foods. So I went full carnivore. No B.S.

3) Reactivated my Gym membership

Whenever I workout consistently life improves. 4 times a week. Non-negotiable. (and cold plunges!)

That was 5 weeks ago.

Since then I’ve found a new business partner, built a new sales team, signed 10 new clients, and I feel so much better.

Almost like I have a new lease of life.

Now, for the reason I wrote this email:

This experience reminded me: Sometimes life punches you in the face.

And if you don’t have the knowledge, network and systems, it’s possible you’ll never find a way back.
